waterproof wool

Part of JOHNNYLOVE’s mission has always been to make it possible to handle rough weather in style. Hence, we have always offered jackets and coats in waterproof wool as a part of our outerwear collection.

We use lightweight compact wool fabrics bonded with a waterproof membrane that blocks the water from passing through. The bonded structure also makes sure the wool fabric does not change shape even if it becomes wet. The finished bonded fabric has a waterproofness (HH) of 10.000mm. The membrane is breathable (MVR) >10.000g/m2/24hr.

The face wool is impregnated with a water repellent finishing to avoid that the wool itself soaks and becomes heavy. For this we use BIONIC-FINISH® ECO from RUDOLF, a patented fluorine-free finishing that effectively protects textiles from rain and water-based stains.
