TENCEL™ is a trademarked lyocell raw material, developed by LENZIG. TENCEL™ lyocell is an eco friendly version of viscose. Carbon emissions and water consumption of TENCEL™ fibers are at least 50% lower compared to generic lyocell fibers, according to Higg MSI. 

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are made from FSC® or PEFC certified wood and is biodegradable. Through a closed loop process which recovers water and 99.8% of the solvent, wood pulp is transformed into cellulosic fibers. 

TENCEL is manufactured with one non-toxic organic chemical compound and is tested and proved to not be in the fiber after production. 

JOHNNYLOVE uses TENCEL™ for blouses, dresses, shirts and knits. The yarn and fabrics we use are either 100% TENCEL™ or a in mix with either linen or organic cotton. TENCEL™ adds softness and a draping quality to the textile/yarn.
